Getting Started

A couple of months ago, I needed to earn a little extra spending money.  (Of course I did - don't we all?)  You see, I have one daughter getting married in September and I had one wanting to go to State Special Olympics.  Even an extra $100 was hard to come by.

I decided to take a friend's advice.  She had suggested many times to use this formula:

Lauren's intense love of dolls + my love of crafts = create soft ragdolls

So I drew a pattern loosely based on some that I had already admired.  Cut it out, stitched it, had Lauren stuff it, added finishing touches, and put photos on Facebook.  We sold them all in a couple of days!

I've noticed that a few artist whom I enjoy following on Facebook, also have a blog.  So I have decided to give this a try.  This is my first attempt.  I'll need to learn more about adding backgrounds, photos, and such.

Meanwhile - here goes.

Mel
